We Are Veteran U.S. Biotech Entrepreneurs
Cerebroceutics was founded in 2026 by veteran U.S. biotech entrepreneurs to in-license one or more “zombie” drug candidates for brain cancer that have shown pre-clinical or clinical promise but are owned by biotech companies that no longer have the financial capacity to develop these drug candidates.
Dedicated to Developing Innovative Brain Cancer Treatments
Cerebroceutics will prioritize in-licensing promising pre-clinical drug candidates with the goal of quickly compelting the work necessary to open an IND and run a Phase I clinical trial. Cerebroceutics will follow the model developed by Oncoceutics, of which Lee Schalop was a co-founder and served as CEO at the time of its sale, and will aim to complete: CMC development and production, animal toxicology, and development of a clinical protocol in order to open an IND in less than one year and for less than $5 million. Once the IND is open, Cerebroceutics will similarly follow the model developed by Oncoceutics to provide exclusivity to hospitals interested in running early clinical trials in return for attractive pricing for a 30-36 patient Phase I clinical trial ($2-5 million) that could result in a signal demonstrating the efficacy of these candidates.
Our Database
Cerebroceutics has developed a proprietary database of more than 200 drug candidates that are being investigated for the treatment of brain cancer. Cerebroceutics will focus on those candidates, approximately 50, that are owned by companies that no longer have the financial capacity to develop these drug candidates.
